The QA/QC Technician III will conduct risk-based inspections on assets critical to the longevity of the plant and the safety of its people, and provide guidance for ITPs on repairs/new installations. This position will be heavily involved in utilizing inspection technologies to accurately assess damage or improper repairs, while following all site policies and procedures. This position may be responsible for some planning and scheduling of inspections. This position will be split between Mechanical Integrity and QA/QC as required. This position is located at Belle Plaine. Operations began in 1964 and was the first, and the largest, potash solution mine in the world. Belle Plaines potash is white due to the unique solution mining techniques. The on-site dry product warehouse capacity is 250,000 tonnes. The transportation of outgoing products is by rail and truck to deliver to farmers around the world. These products are used in agriculture and in a variety of industrial environments.What will you contribute

• Coordinate with trades groups using the workflow system to conduct QC checks on repairs and new installations. Document findings for future reference. Develop internal ITPs and review external ITPs for approval. Inspection and analysis of new materials. Witness, inspect & verify that work being conducted in the field is done so in accordance t the approved ITP and quality procedures.
• Perform risk-based non-destructive testing and inspection of quantitative assets on site, record information and disseminate reports through an established workflow system. Alert the lead inspector to safety concerns or failed equipment as soon as possible upon discovery.
• Respond to reactive requests (Capital requests for information, opportunity inspection of assets on site, etc.)
• Communicate the importance of proper QC to trades groups and provide coaching/direction as required.
• Participate in safety and training/professional development activities.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following:

• A High School Diploma or GED
• Must be registered with CGSB and hold at least two level 1 certifications. Level 2, API or NACE certifications will be considered an asset.
• 10+ years experience in a QA/QC or NDE centric role
• 5+ years of experience within Potash or similar industry considered an asset.
• High level of fluency within Microsoft Office suite.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
