Job Description

Reporting to the Custom Application Manager, the Custom Application Driver plays a key role in supporting our agricultural operations by transporting crop inputs, equipment, and products to and from customer fields. This position is dependent on timely and accurate deliveries, in addition to high standards and commitment to safety, customer service and operational efficiency. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safe operation of Class 1A trucks and trailers to transport agricultural products and equipment
  • Efficient loading and unloading of crop inputs, fertilizer, chemicals and other agricultural products
  • Timely delivery of products to fields and farm locations
  • Accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are in safe working condition
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, load manifest and other required documentation
  • Assist with custom application operations as needed
  • Strict adherence to all company, provincial and federal safety regulations and transportation policies
  • Communicate politely and effectively with dispatch, agronomy and application team members to ensure smooth coordination of deliveries and service
  • Other duties as required
SKILLSamp; KNOWLEDGE:
  • Valid Class 1A driver #39;s license and clean driving record is mandatory
  • Knowledge of agricultural products, farm operations and rural logistics will be considered an asset
  • Ability to safely operate and maneuver trucks, trailers and agricultural equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • Good communication and teamwork skills is essential
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons, including occasional nights spent in-truck
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance skills are an asset
