In order to maintain this image we must constantly strive to improve our facilities and product to ensure we maintain a competitive edge.Accountability:Responsible for keeping the kitchen supplied, maintaining clean lines, and assisting the Head Chef as much as possible. Must maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and ensure the highest level of quality, fresh, nutritious meals for staff, the guests of this restaurant. Responsible for checking stock rotation and proper storage of incoming food.Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role. It is very important to represent the company’s corporate image in an exemplary manner demonstrating superior customer service. As a Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing Representative, his/her role will exemplify our brand image as an ambassador, and will provide positive brand experiences to all guests and staff.Function & Tasks:1. Maintain the highest level of quality fresh nutritious meals for our guests and staff dinner buffet for up to 180 persons.2. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness of the entire kitchen.3. Follow all health and safety regulations and control all waste.4. Check fridge, inventory, and prep list daily.5. Clean fridges on regular basis.6. Prep lunch for following day.7. Monitor staff meal plan including shift meals and payroll deducted meals.8. Cooperation - working jointly with others towards our common goal of guest/staff satisfaction.9. Communicate all problems and / or ideas to your supervisor.10. Be professional in everything you say and do.11. Must be punctual for work shift.12. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner within company policies.13. May be called upon to perform other duties comparable to the above, as the aforementioned describes only the primary duties of the job.Job Specifications:

  • Winter Season position based in Blue River, BC
  • University or College Diploma in a Culinary field preferred.
  • Certified Chef designation preferred.
  • Food Safe Certification and WHMIS required.
  • Two to three years experience in a similar position.
  • Must be able to frequently bend and kneel, lift moderate weight, and work on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to work a variety of day and weekend shifts.
  • Attributes include energetic personality, punctuality, and good grooming standards.
Working Conditions:
  • This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
  • Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat and water.
  • Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion, and up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Will be constantly exposed to high temperatures in the kitchen environment.
  • Manual dexterity required to use knives and kitchen appliances.
