Job Description

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Human Resources Clerk. The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Human Resources.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.
  • Assist in employment recruitment.
  • Update job descriptions and post job openings for all municipal employment positions.
  • Organize incoming resumes electronically.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and the collection of required documentation.
  • Coordinate and maintain employee driver abstract consents.
  • Administer Health Care Spending Account Claims.
  • Organize employee personnel files and maintain the integrity/security of the filing system – electronic and paper.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position.
Every employee shall, while on the job, take reasonable care to protect the health and welfare of themselves and other workers, and cooperate with the employer in protecting the health and safety of all employees and contractors present on the worksite, as stated in the OH & S Act.Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years’ administrative experience.
  • Excellent inter-personal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Ability to handle sensitive personal information with strict confidentiality.
  • Experience with Avanti payroll software would be considered an asset.
