  • Competitive rate of $47/hour with a $2/hour night shift premium
  • A living out allowance (LOA) provided of $195 per day
  • Day and night shifts
  • Project expected to last 10 Days where you will work 12 hour shifts straight through
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
  • Fabricate and weld piping/equipment supports, brackets, guides
  • Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
  • Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
  • Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
  • Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
  • Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
  • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications:
  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred), will consider 3rd or 4th year apprentice status
  • H2S Alive and CSO or CSTS required. First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Arrest and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) considered an asset.
  • Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
