What are we looking for
  • Valid New 5th Class Power Engineering ABSA certificate required
  • Minimum of two (2) years operational experience in facility operations and customer service-oriented environment
  • Extensive knowledge of building HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building automation systems and life safety systems
  • Exceptional communications, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Proven experience in exercising judgment under pressure
What will you do
  • Monitor, operate and maintain all Steam, Hot Water heating and all other pressure equipment as per ABSA regulations
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot all HVAC equipment using BMCS
  • Maintain Water Treatment program through proper testing and treatment of all system and loops
  • Work with preventative maintenance Ameresco program
  • As per contract requirements, conduct regular building equipment checks/inspections to look for and identify any operational abnormalities or inefficiencies
  • Respond to tenant service requests and emergencies in a timely manner while maintaining good client relations and proper documentation in the Ameresco work order system
  • Ensure site log books and administrative records are maintained and up to date as per Edons Quality Management System and as required by law/legislation
  • Portray a favorable image of the organization while liaising with and addressing all client issues and concerns
  • Housekeeping duties in any assigned area of responsibility
