Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Picking up parts at vendors for repair shop
  • Bring parts and supplies to Mechanics as needed
  • Loading and unloading freight, putting parts away and loading parts for delivery to the Conklin shop
  • Washing trucks & equipment
  • Keeping shop tidy: sweeping, pick up garbage, debris and empty shop garbage cans
  • Yard clean up: mowing / trimming of grass, sweeping & snow removal in delivery area and by all entrance and exit doors
  • Ensure personal safety as well as safety for all team members and property
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision. Assist wherever needed
  • Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time
Role Specifications
  • Experience in an industrial shop setting an asset, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Valid CSO certification (we will provide)
  • Valid class 5 driver’s licence (no GDL)
  • Current 3 year driver’s abstract (no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years)
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Perform physically demanding work, able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • You’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely
