Function: Ski Patrol is responsible for providing first aid and rescue services in a safe and efficient manner for the patrons of Kinosoo Ridge Resort.Duties & Responsibilities:Educate staff and guests in accident prevention, while implementing rules and regulations.Respond to accidents and participate in investigations.Evacuate patients from the hill in a toboggan pulled on skis or snowmobile in a safe and efficient manner.Assist ambulance attendants.Maintain first aid hut, equipment, and rescue gear.Perform other related duties as required within the scope of the positionEvery employee shall, while on the job, take reasonable care to protect the health and welfare of themselves and other workers, and cooperate with the employer in protecting the health and safety of all employees and contractors present on the worksite, as stated in the OH & S Act.Qualifications:Must be skilled in skiing or snowboarding.Advanced First Aid - CSPS or EMR level.Strong risk management skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Able to operate a snowmobile in a controlled and safe manner.Valid Class 5 driver’s license in good standing.Obtain a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.Working Conditions:Primarily work outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions.High customer volume; required to work with customers of all levels.This position requires working weeknights, weekends, and holidays.Various emergency situations.Physical Requirements:Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds.All interested applicants are invited to submit their resume, in confidence to:Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87Attn: Human ResourcesPostal Bag 1010Bonnyville, Alberta T9N 2J7Fax: 780-826-4524Email: hr@md.bonnyville.ab.caClosing Date: Open until a suitable candidate is foundQuick Apply
