Function:The Snow Maker is responsible to open and maintain skiing, snowboarding, and tubing terrain with the best possible machine-made snow.Duties & Responsibilities:Produce quality snow using air, water, and fan equipmentOperate various types of motorized equipment on and off the hillWork closely and assist with Grooming, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, and special eventsPerform other related duties as required within the scope of the positionEvery employee shall, while on the job, take reasonable care to protect the health and welfare of themselves and other workers, and cooperate with the employer in protecting the health and safety of all employees and contractors present on the worksite, as stated in the OH & S Act.Qualifications:Snow making experience considered an assetAbility to work with minimal supervision or in a team environmentMechanically inclinedExcellent communication skillsStamina, flexibility, and self-discipline to work extended hours as requiredAbility to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level considered an assetSnowmobile or snow cat experience considered an assetHold a minimum of Class 5 driver’s license in good standingAbility to obtain a criminal record and vulnerable sector checkMust have a flexible schedule with the availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidaysWorking Conditions:High customer volumePrimarily work outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditionsPhysical Requirements:Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 poundsRequired to stand for extended periods of timeAll interested applicants are invited to submit their resume, in confidence to:Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87Attn: Human ResourcesPostal Bag 1010Bonnyville, Alberta T9N 2J7Fax: 780-826-4524Email: hr@md.bonnyville.ab.caQuick Apply
