In keeping with Covenant Health’s Mission, Vision and Values, the Supervisor, Rural/Suburban and Contracted Security reports to the Manager, Protective Services & Parking and has a high level of responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of Covenant Health staff, patients & residents, visitors, and assets at Covenant Health properties and facilities. The Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of security plans and practices for designated sites and the management of all protection personnel on site. As the leader of Protective Services at the Bonnyville Health Centre, the Supervisor works with all leaders and departments in the facility. The Supervisor develops and maintains internal and external relationships, implements site processes, standards, policies, procedures and practices for the Protective Services department and supervises Peace Officers. The Supervisor uses their experience and knowledge of legal issues and precedence, and protection and investigation techniques to conduct and manage investigations that may have significant financial, risk or reputation impact on the organization. The Supervisor utilizes their experience and knowledge of protection theory along with technical skills to conduct site assessments; providing valuable recommendations that enhance the protection of persons and assets while reducing risk and liability exposures for Covenant Health. This position also requires travel to Covenant Health’s other rural sites as well as supporting the Edmonton Zone Protective Services team.
