Office & Event Co-Ordinator Job PostingThe Ramara Chamber of CommerceJob Title: Office AdministratorEmployment Timing: 3-4 days per week; Occasional evenings / WeekendsLocation: Brechin, ONEducation: Post-Secondary preferred. Grade 12 Diploma required.Salary: Salary: $18 per hour + commissionsAnticipated Start Date: October 3, 2022 (training Sept 26-30, 2022)Chamber Mission Statement: The Ramara Chamber of Commerce is committed to enhancing businesses, providing membership resources, support services, and encouraging business and community interaction. Through ongoing partnerships at the municipal, regional, and provincial levels, we promote business prosperity while improving the quality of life for residents and visitors of the Township of Ramara, and Orillia & Area Lake Country.Required Skills: · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills· Ability to work independently but also as a team player· Proven organizational and planning skills· Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office suite including Outlook & Excel· QuickBooks basics for invoicing/receipts, & reports (or willingness to learn)· Adobe Suite (InDesign & Illustrator) would be considered a strong asset· Ability to do basic website updates on GoDaddy platform· E-newsletter creation through MailChimp application (or willingness to learn)· Ability to demonstrate innovative and creative thinking skillsQualifications: · G Licensed Driver with own transportation for work-related travel· Fluent in English (Oral, Written)· Preference given to candidates with experience in business administration, tourism, event/conference coordination, marketing & advertising, and graphic design· Familiarity with Ramara Township would also be considered an assetPosition Purpose The purpose of this position is to have an individual at the forefront of our Chamber of Commerce promoting membership development to build a strong chamber presence, reputation, and brand in and around Ramara Township.Position Responsibility · Manage day-to-day operations at the Chamber office· Organize and maintain the office in a clean and tidy manner· Interact with the public by answering phones, emails, and in-person· Sustain existing membership while targeting new members in and around Ramara Township· Maintain & update membership databases (Excel & QuickBooks) with up-to-date information· Maintain & update the Ramara Chamber of Commerce website and social media channels; create periodic e-newsletters for audience of 250· Interface with BOARD OF DIRECTORS via monthly evening meetings; can Zoom in or attend in-person· Submit periodic reports to bookkeeper/ accountant / treasurer as required· Co-ordinate and/or assist in promoting, advertising and marketing for Chamber initiatives such as Classic Car Show, Golf Tournament, & Networking events· Supervise and help train summer staff· Ensure professional & on-brand communications including event poster creation· Undertake other reasonable tasks in support of the Ramara Chamber of Commerce, which the Board may assign from time to timeHow to Apply Contact: The Ramara Chamber of Commerce, c/o Christine ReidBy Email: info[at]pointofmara.com & info[at]ramarachamber.comBy Mail: Ramara Chamber of Commerce, 2297 Highway #12, Box 144, Brechin, Ontario, L0K 1B0Closing StatementThe Ramara Chamber of Commerce thanks all applicants for their interest.
