Job Description

Chevron Australia Downstream is a subsidiary of the Chevron Corporation, one of the worlds leading integrated energy companies. Chevron Australia Products delivers quality fuel products and services across Australia. We operate and supply a network of more than 320 retail locations primarily, as well as an extensive 24-hour diesel-stop network and a fuel card program. We operate three wholly owned product import terminals. Our commercial division is responsible for the establishment, monitoring and delivery of products and services to industries including mining, resources, agriculture, transport, marine and aviation. We offer services such as bulk fuel supply, oils and lubricants, fuel equipment solutions, customized fleet fuel card solutions and expert advice on fuel management and health and safety. More information about Chevron in Australia is available at https://australia.chevron.com/ChevronChevron Australia Downstream is seeking to appoint an experienced Associate, Pricing who will be responsible in proactively assessing and monitoring market conditions to seek and capture maximum available gross margin by learning from competitor behaviors and costumer reactions, and seeking opportunities to increase profitability. Reporting to the Pricing Supervisor, this exciting opportunity will be based in Brisbane with regular domestic travel.Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:Develop country pricing strategy and tactics to maximize enterprise valueCollaborate with stakeholders to execute pricingAct as Australia contact for interaction with regional specialists and project coordinator to facilitate the deployment of enhancements to pricing systemsMaintain integrity of pricing systems and pricing component in SAP to ensure they reliably provide a platform to manage pricing activitiesLead all pricing activities within the country, including meetings with Governments and other external and internal customersClosely work with Performance Management and Sales teams to highlight any volume, NOI or gross margin anomalies and drive for corrective actionMonitor competitive activity in the region by understanding the implications/impacts of external environment changes on the businessEnsure all pricing compliance measures are implemented and understoodManage the regional relationships between Sales and VCO to optimize pricing decisionsKnowledge, skills and experience:A tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or finance (preferred)Experience in pricing and financial modelingVery proficient in MS Excel, Power BI and data analyticsIntermediate knowledge of SAP idealStrong communication skills and stakeholder relationship managementA high level of teamworking ability and time management skillsStrong business and financial analytical skillsPerformance driven, self-motivated and solution orientatedWhy join Chevron:Chevron is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies and has been present in Australia for more than 60 yearsChevron offers career development opportunities to all employees including onboarding, training and development, mentoring, volunteering opportunities and networking groupsChevron is proudly recognised as an employer of choice, guided by a vision of diversity, inclusion and committed to equal employment opportunityChevron supports work-life balance and offers employees access to various health and wellness programsDiversity & InclusionChevron Australia values inclusivity and promotes a workplace that actively seeks to welcome contributions from all people.
