Job Description

Chevron Australia Downstream (CAD) is a subsidiary of the Chevron Corporation, one of the worlds leading integrated energy companies. We operate and supply a network of more than 360 retail locations, an extensive 24-hour diesel-stop network and three wholly owned product import terminals. We also offer bulk fuel supply, oils and lubricants, fuel equipment solutions, customised fleet fuel card solutions and expert advice on fuel management and health and safety. Chevron is currently transitioning most Puma Energy branded service stations it operates across Australia to Caltex, a global brand owned by Chevron. More information about CAD is available at Australia Downstream — Australia.chevron.comCAD is seeking to appoint an IT Site Lead who will be responsible for IT Service Delivery within the business unit, with a primary focus on evergreen support of existing IT systems and solutions requiring significant knowledge of enabled business domain, workflows and processes. Reporting to the Software Engineering Chapter Head, this exciting role will be based in Brisbane with occasional interstate and intrastate travel.Additionally, the role’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Champion and support all facets of IT Service Delivery including business engagement, gathering business requirements, managing IT budgets, compliance and cybersecurity support, working with platforms in prioritising enhancements and various IT related activities
  • Lead and guide the performance and development of the IT team
  • Support the International Fuel and Lubricants (IF&L) IT Site Manager in the delivery of IT systems and solutions
  • Support and coordinate products delivered by, and under the operational scope of the various IT platforms
  • Deliver key technologies and digital tools to support the business
  • Influence business users to work collaboratively together to achieve collective goals in innovation, modernization, and efficiency building
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand IT requirements generated by business strategies and operational requirements
  • Ensure corporate and governance and compliance objectives are delivered
Knowledge, skills and experience:Technical Requirements:
  • Familiarity with key Microsoft digital tools such as Forms, Power Automate, Power Apps and PowerBI will be highly regarded, to support the business in process automation and data visualisation
  • Managing, prioritising and assisting users with ERP (i.e. SAP) requests and issues
  • Process Control Network (PCN) environment and work with platforms and 3rd party vendors to support the Downstream fuel terminals
  • Cybersecurity awareness in order to work with the global team to lead the cybersecurity program for Chevron Australia Downstream
Desirable Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a business-related discipline (Business, Economics, Accounting)
  • At least three years’ experience in an IT Manager/Lead role
  • Experience supporting ERP (SAP) systems
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks, methodologies, and processes
  • Experience supporting Infrastructure, Networking and Process Control Network (PCN) environments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and effectively trouble shoot
  • Experience in oil/gas industries advantageous
