  • Personal Reliable Vehicle
  • CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s License (non GDL)
Pre-employment:
  • Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
  • Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
  • Mask Fit Testing
  • Baseline Testing (respiratory)
Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Provide support, direction, and training to supervisors and employees.
  • Prepare and attend safety meetings.
  • Perform safety coaching opportunities in the field.
  • Coordinate and carry out prompt investigations of workplace incidents.
  • Assist in conducting formal and informal safety audits.
  • Generate incident reports and hazard assessments, and provide recommendations and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and initiatives.
  • Use of online safety database system to file site safety documents.
  • This position may include short travel, depending on projects.
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Safety Coordinator Qualifications:
  • Detailed knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Experience working in an active plant setting.
  • Must have good understanding of Industrial Hygiene, especially with Silica.
  • Must have the ability to perform ASCA audit.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be a team player.
