Job Description

Blackline Safety is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our Accounting and Finance team. Our Company is expanding rapidly; this is a role where a motivated and talented individual can join a developing team in a fast paced and fluid environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting, with some interaction with the Corporate Controller, the Accounts Receivable Coordinator will be responsible for various accounting and finance tasks for the Company. This is a hybrid role, with some availability to work at our Calgary, Alberta office required.Responsibilities

  • Process accounts, incoming payments and bank deposits in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Prepare customer invoices and submit invoices to customer portals.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable subledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email and mail regarding billing matters and coordinate with the account and sales team to facilitate resolution.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending statements of account and invoice reminders.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
  • Proactive review of accounts receivable aging status and follow up with customers for resolution of outstanding accounts which engaging with management over any problems encountered.
  • Assist with financial reporting closing process relative to reconciliation of unapplied payments, fixing invoice errors, and crediting invoices when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a small to mid sized manufacturing/technology environment.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration or Accounting with understanding of accounting principles and credit risk management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities with experience of client communications.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience in MS Excel and MS Word applications, with a willingness to develop a full working knowledge of the Company’s NetSuite ERP system.
