Join us for a flexible, challenging, and inclusive career journey.Environment Permittingamp; Management The Environmental Permitting and Management team comprises close to 100 employees at all levels involved in keystone projects throughout their lifecycle: from their early assessment of key constraints to strategic development of regulatory approvals processes to compliance management through construction and operations. Our team works collaboratively within projects to gain social acceptance and manage our clients #39; commitments to the environment and sustainable development.We currently have an opening for Biologist in our Calgary, AB location.Your role within the Team:Support field biological investigations including bird, wildlife, species at risk, vegetation, wetland, and fish surveys following established protocols. Develop environmental management plans and provide advice and guidance on environmental management/compliance issues, including but not limited to erosion and sediment control, nest sweeps, and reclamation. Support efforts to obtain and comply with environmental approvals/permits for projects from government/regulatory agencies (municipal, provincial, and federal). Support management of projects, including the development of project schedules and budgets for the environmental component of projects. Support projects in across multiple provinces, including Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. Support the development of proposals, qualification documents and other business development related activities. A work environment focused on health and safety.The Ideal Candidate:Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related degree. Eligible to obtain a professional designation (P. Biol. or related) is considered an asset. 5+ years’ experience conducting field biological surveys. Consulting experience is considered an asset. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments at one time. Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Willing to undertake field work and travel.
