Job DescriptionAECOM #39;s Calgary Bridge team is looking for a Bridge Lead to join their group to help deliver on a workload that includes a broad spectrum of projects that range from local municipality structures to major structures on alternative delivery projects. Project types would range from new construction to bridge rehabilitation. The successful applicant will be capable of:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Leading the engineering effort on mid- to large size projects, serving clients in both the public and private sector.- Providing specialized technical input to studies and design, including drawing development and constructability considerations, and capable of carrying out modelling using structural analysis software.- Approving and signing off on work.- Providing technical expertise for preliminary and detailed design efforts.- Presenting complex technical solutions to clients.- Performing quality control reviews of work developed by others.- Participating in development of proposals.- Providing estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.The team you would be joining is a high-performing group, having delivered preliminary or detailed design for over 100 major structures over the past 15 years, with the core team members (drafting and engineering) having worked together for all of those designs. With over 15 design build/P3 pursuits, and being teamed with the successful proponent for 7 of those pursuits, along with the design and construction of 7 conventionally delivered interchanges, the group you would be joining offers an enormous breadth of experience for you to either draw from or add to. With a backlog that is not limited to either Calgary or Canada, familiarity with design requirements within Calgary, Alberta, Canada and the US is an asset. With the current push for infrastructure development in North America, particularly in rail and bus transit, this job would provide an enormous opportunity to work on community-changing projects that don #39;t require relocation.
