Job Description

Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking a Environmental Scientist/Engineering Intern based in our Calgary, AB, Canada office.This is a temporary position expected to last 4 months starting in May 2024.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
  • Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories.
  • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, provincial, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Work both in the field and in the office. You will be in the field 60% of your time, and you will gather data using advanced technology and applications. That work may require you to be in various on-site locations, from an industrial complex to a meadow. You will be in the office 40% of the time, and you will perform analysis on qualitative and quantitative data as it relates to meeting provincial and federal environmental requirements.
  • Be part of project team, which includes attending daily meetings, performing rudimentary analysis, and reporting.
