The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer who is specialized in Civilamp; Structural Engineering to join our Project Management team (PMT). This Company Project Management Teams are responsible and accountable for the delivery of best-in-class capital projects. PMT is directly involved in executing and managing assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance. This will involve engineering design, procurement and construction of various sizes ($), types and complexity of small, medium to multi-billion-dollar mega projects. Project Management Team manages and executes projects usually from multiple site offices or engineering contractor design offices, geographically scattered throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Civil Engineer primary role is to ensure that engineering design, procurement, construction and project completion is done in compliance with the project objective and contractual requirements i.e. project schedule, cost, HSE, company standards and procedures. The role also involves review and study of grass root and brown field facilities.Responsibilities:

  • Execute capital projects according to the scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Perform complex technical and administrative tasks related to the design and coordination of civilamp; structural packages.
  • Provide technical input and review for the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of facilities.
  • Address technical issues throughout all phases of project development related to civilamp; structural packages.
  • Take responsibility for project development, including engineering studies, technical bid reviews, preliminary engineering, detail designs, materials procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, handover, commissioning, and startup.
  • Review and provide input to civil/structural package designs in compliance with This Company standards and specifications.
  • Manage GES design contractor activities during the Pre-FEEDamp; FEED stages, defining project work scope and schedule requirements.
  • Develop detailed estimates for funding appropriation and approval.
  • Stay updated with international procedures for project phases, engineering phases, bidding procedures, procurement processes, construction requirements, and best practices.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, project execution plans, interface management, change management, construction sequencing, standards specifications, and project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Review and resolve contractors #39; daily activities related to assigned project work during construction, ensuring HSE compliance.
  • Participate in the development of civil/structural package deliverables, such as plot plans, piping plans, foundation details, load assessments, stress analysis, data sheets, structural details, BRAs, geotechnicalamp; soil tests, etc.
  • Provide design input for the identification, sizing, selection, and procurement of civil/structural materials.
  • Provide design input for facilities including pipe racks, substations, PIBs, control buildings, valve stations, and process plants in Oil, Gas, refining, NGL, utilities, etc.
  • Define scope and estimate costs for change orders and assist the PM or Company representative in the change management process.
  • Review weekly/monthly reports on contract status, project costs, and schedule. Attend project meetings, such as progress, stakeholders, design review, and value improvement.
  • Review project schedules, coordinate/monitor project progress, and address contractor performance issues.
  • Review, coordinate, and monitor invoices and contractor submittals.
  • Perform project reporting and implement company initiatives during project execution.
  • Review design and study civilamp; structural modifications to the facilities.
  • Provide routine civilamp; structural (design and construction) support to facilities.
  • Develop and/or review testing procedures for civilamp; structural packages.
Requirements:
  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Hold a Bachelor #39;s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Have fifteen years of experience in the Oil, Gas, and refining industries, with a specialization in Civilamp; Structural Engineering. This experience should establish the candidate as an expert in the field.
  • Possess at least five years of field experience, including construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Possess experience in Engineering Designamp; Construction phases, with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles according to applicable International Codes, Standards, and Specifications.
  • Exhibit a dynamic attitude towards project improvements and cost savings. PMP Certification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Be adaptable to working in multinational teams and be willing to mobilize to different locations, including remote areas, as required.
