Job Description

As the Hospitality Aide, you are responsible for assisting with providing a welcoming environment for our residents, employees, and visitors through a variety of support duties.Responsibilities

  • Waiting on tables during meal service
  • Laundry services
  • Garbage removal
  • Delivery of supplies and meals
  • Enhanced and thorough cleaning of touch points
  • Socialization with residents
  • Ensure residents are provided with a secure living environment, patrol the building and investigate building access violations, report accordingly
  • Follow safety rules and procedures
  • Submit written reports of hazards, incidents, near misses and workplace injuries to the manager
  • Follows Infection Control Practices
  • Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • Food Safe certificate is required
  • Experience in an aging adults setting is an asset
  • Completion of Highschool Diploma is an asset
  • Completion of CPR and First Aid is an asset
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors and operational partners
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, fluently in English
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve
Conditions of Employment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear Police Information Check
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • COVID-19 vaccination proof. This requirement may be waived if you have received an exemption through the provincial government.
