Join our team and help us keep communities connected.Your OpportunityThe role of an Intermediate Transportation CAD Technician / Technologist is to work as a team member on small and large projects under close guidance and supervision. Work will include performing a variety of tasks which may include assisting with the plans for bridges, railroads, roads, airports, and other projects.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPrepares construction designs/drawings on small, medium, and large size projects using computer-aided drafting programs.Provide CAD drafting assistance for a wide variety of projects, from report stage through design and construction administration.Works closely with engineers, project managers and other team members to ensure coordination of drafting effort.Prepare functional, preliminary, and detailed design drawings, presentation materials for bridges, rural/urban roads, interchanges, intersections, and rail.Adheres to the corporate guidelines and applies them in their work.QualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsAbility to work with others on small, medium, and large size projectsAbility to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovationDemonstrated ability to understand and maintain CAD standardsTakes initiative on tasksWorking knowledge of software programs including AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Working knowledge of Bentley products, MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads and REVIT would be a desirable asset but not necessary.Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
