Wonderbrands, is a leading North American bakery (with 140 years of experience in baking packaged breads, artisan breads, and donuts.We are one of the largest bakeries in North America and makers of Wonder Bread, Country Harvest, D’Italiano, Gadoua, and Casa Mendosa.Wonderbrands, a division of FGF Brands, is unlocking an incredible opportunity for growth through a focus on production innovation capabilities, through a leading edge supply chain practice and investing deeply in communities where we bake.We are hiring to build a robust Talent and Development team to support our bakeries and Team Members.Job Location: Calgary, ABJob Summary:The Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for the day to day activities of the shift Mechanics. You will support and improve maintenance operations by becoming the technical expert on all the production equipment for your site.You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, and lead by example.Job Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, has 24-hour ownership of line results
  • Be a “hands-on” leader and work very closely with all operations departments to provide immediate, timely support in order to ensure operational targets are met
  • Train; coach; guide and mentor existing, as well as new shift mechanics
  • Ensure that troubleshooting and repair is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner
  • Complete maintenance related projects as required
  • Insure that Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs are executed as scheduled
  • Recommend additional training for shift mechanics as needed
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Coordinator to ensure supplies of required tools, parts and labour are available for timely repairs
  • Promote and support Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing
Job Requirements:
  • You have 3-5 years of experience working in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!).
  • Red Seal/Journeyperson ticket would be an asset.
  • Must be flexible and have around the clock availability to address maintenance issues
  • Experience with maintenance systems and computer programs (MS Office; Excel; Outlook)
  • You bring a strong background in team leadership, coaching, mentoring, and empowering your crew
  • Dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues
  • You have a mindset that focuses on Compliance topics (Safety, Quality, Environment)
  • You enjoy a fast paced and multi-faceted workload, always on the go and finding solutions to unique problems
