Our ultimate goal is to achieve no harm for our people, our clients, and our communities.Responsibilities:- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out tasks for projects in the field of Rail Systems which covers: advanced train control systems, application software and simulation, overhead contact systems, railway communications and IT, signaling systems, crossing warning systems, electrical, traction power, and testing and commissioning.- Assist with technical design reviews and calculations checks.- Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables.- Assist in the design of rail systems.- Assistance of senior engineers and designers as and when needed.- Contribute to overall needs for project completion.- Improve technical communication and report writing skills.Education and Experience:- Currently enrolled in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) co-op program from an accredited University.- In good academic standing.- Interested in rail systems design as a career.- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation.- Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset.- Knowledge or experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects, will be an asset.- Ability to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary interaction.- Attributes of a young professional:- Team Player.- Passion for learning, challenges and your field of study.- Relationship builders and community oriented.- Interested in innovation, sustainability, safety and quality.Competencies (knowledge, skill, attributes):- Good understanding of Engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to Engineering problems and projects.- Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges.- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients #39; toughest challenges.- Highly motivated, with a positive attitude and an ability to understand innovation.- Adapts and embraces change.Why join us- Work withgreat people (https://bit.ly/36124ja) to make a difference- Collaborate on excitingprojects (http://bit.ly/HatchProjects) to develop innovative solutions- Top employer (https://bit.ly/3p39hIa)What we offer you- Flexible work environment- Long term career development- Think globally, work locallyDon #39;t meet every single requirement You don #39;t need to.
