Founded in 2018, our company supports clients across Western Canada from remote offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and the BC Interior.Position SummaryThis role falls within our Sales team and is primarily responsible for collaborating with Account Executives, Client stakeholders, and IXS technical resources to assess, design and propose technical solutions that accurately address and align with client’s business requirements. The position reports to the Vice President, Sales and works 40 hours per week, with typical business hours being 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Balancing multiple client priorities with deadlines is a requirement. What You’ll Do Here
  • Design and implement secure and scalable Azure cloud solutions using Microsoft technologies that meet client requirements
  • Design specific on-premises hardware solutions to meet defined requirements
  • Design and present highly technical concepts and specific solutions to internal and external audiences of varying technical capabilities in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner
  • Audit and evaluate Client environments, identifying technical constraints to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Credible delivery of demos/POCs/workshops/seminars with the confidence and flexibility to not require adherence to a prepared script with the ability to deftly handle objections and understand client concerns
  • Develop and maintain effective documentation of cloud solutions designs, best practices, client assessments and presentation slideshows
  • Complete paid pre-sales assessments and engagements, building documents for business and technical audiences
  • Assist with the development of proposals and pre-sales exercises including the presentation of technologies and solution proposals to Clients
  • Assist Account Executives and clientele in defining technical requirements and solutions
  • Ability to support multiple Account Executives with multiple opportunities
  • Attend Client calls including scoping calls with Account Executives
  • Assist in the estimation and planning of development tasks, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications/ExpertiseYou have a minimum 5-10 years of technical IT experience with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Must possess a broad understanding of:
    • Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service and Platform as a Service offerings
    • Microsoft 365 technologies including Cloud Security Solutions (EDR, SIEM), Conditional Access policies, Intune, SharePoint and Teams
    • Cloud security principles, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
    • A solid understanding of the whole Microsoft ecosystem
    • Windows server background including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
    • Traditional security solutions including firewall, VPN, endpoint protection, NAC
  • Certifications:
    • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) – preferred
    • Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102) - preferred
    • Microsoft 365: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) - would be an asset
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) would be an asset
    • MCSE (2016) – or equivalent on-premise experience
  • Understanding of the sales methodology, cycle, and process
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into benefits that both Clients and salespeople can understand
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable speaking in front of large audiences
  • Solid understanding of the sales methodology, cycle, and process
  • Commitment to continuing education and training is a must with a passion for staying current with the latest Azure and Microsoft technology developments and incorporating new technologies and tools where logical

  • Pass certification exams and complete training as appropriate to demonstrate skillset to clients and foster strong vendor relationships
  • Lead and participate in business development exercises

Requirements
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Driver’s License and vehicle
  • Proficient English (written/verbal) communication in a business setting
CompensationThe Solutions Architect position is a full time, salaried position and the compensation range is CDN$125,000 to $200,000 commensurate with your skills, experience, and abilities.IX Solutions is pleased to offer remote work opportunities for our employees, however we do require our employees to live in Alberta or British Columbia, Canada.
