We know it starts with people like you, so take a chance and start with us.Department: Third Party RelationshipsJob Number: REQ7421Location: Calgary or Edmonton - #LI-HybridApply by: April 14, 2024Paygrade: L - OTHSystem Title:Third Party Manager 7# Positions available: 1Leader Name: Director, Third Party ManagementWork Arrangement: Hybrid: You’ll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.The Third Party Relationship team at ATB Financial is expanding.We are excited to fill a role within our team to help elevate relationships with vendors, improve operational efficiencies throughout the contract and vendor life cycle, and mitigate third party related risks.As ATB’s next Third Party (Vendor) Manager, you are responsible for vendor management of critical and strategically aligned third parties, with a focus on building strong relationships, identifying opportunities, and seeking optimal value for ATB.This includes contract management, performance monitoring, facilitating business reviews, negotiation and issue resolution.You will work alongside professionals in Strategic Sourcing, Technology, Risk and Auditto support positive value realization and risk management of these strategic relationships. Additionally, you will develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of business area goalsamp; strategies and overall ATB strategy and milestones.Moreover, you will gain an understanding of the financial services industry including industry and technology trends.Technical AccountabilitiesOversee the development and enhancement of relationships with critical and strategically aligned third parties to ensure contractual obligations and performance expectations are met through:

  • Establishing a consistent third party management experience, act as change champions and advocate for third party management policies, point of view and initiatives where appropriate
  • Resolve complex third party issues, including contractual terms and conditions, issues and escalations from the business area or third party
  • Own and maintain vendor performance tracking including both contractual obligations (SLA’s and KPI’s) and internal sentiment.
  • Identify improvement and value creation opportunities, drive innovation or co-creation with critical and strategically aligned third parties
  • Lead and facilitate business review and other cadences with strategic vendor partners and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure clearly defined processes are in place for optimal performance management and cost management (e.g. SLA monitoring, license management and monitoring, forecasting)
  • Support the Strategic Sourcing and business teams with vendor insights, industry and technology information, during contract development andnegotiations
Build and mature our vendor management practice in support of business unit goals and ATB strategic direction:
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of critical and strategic third party contracts including how the third parties fit into the ATB ecosystem from both a business and technical perspective.
  • Ensure that enterprise-wide requirements for due diligence, risk assessment and third party monitoring are being met
  • Monitor the banking and technology (including Fintech) marketplaces to understand competition, trends and latest developments
  • Contribute to the strategic objectives for the Third Party Management team in alignment with the enterprise #39;s strategic plan
People and Relationships Accountabilities
  • Acts as a point of contact for business areas to drive performance and compliance of vendors and contracts
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration and opportunity generation internally and with critical third parties
  • Influence cross functional teams
RequirementsCore Technical Skills
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in third party (vendor) management with experience in third party performance and relationship oversight
  • At least 3 years experience managing vendor relationships, negotiations, facilitating communications and issue management
  • Strong business acumen including knowledge of trends in the banking and technology industry and how they relate to ATB’s business environment and strategies
  • Ability to effectively interpret and act on data visualizations and analytics to translate contractual information in a meaningful way to multiple stakeholders

  • A team oriented attitude with an eagerness to learn and seek knowledge and understanding
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to act as a facilitator, mediator or lead negotiations
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment
Certifications
  • Post secondary degree in business, computer science or a related field
  • A professional designation is considered an asset (e.g. PMP, ITIL, SCMP)
