Job Description

This is a remote position.

  • Our client is a natural and cultural heritage resource management company with offices in Fort St James, Fort St John, Prince George, Terrace, and Whitehorse. They provide expertise in a broad range of disciplines including fisheries and aquatics, wildlife, vegetation and riparian, soils and terrain, hydrology, reclamation and enhancement, environmental monitoring, environmental assessment, land use planning, archaeology, traditional land use, traditional ecological knowledge, heritage consultation, and socio-economic impact assessment. They currently have multiple openings for diligent and motivated individuals to join the team of over 60 professional and technical employees. RequirementsThe OpportunityWe are seeking BC Heritage Permit Holders and Field Directors for each Culture Area in BC (Northwest Coast, Interior Plateau, and Subarctic Boreal Forest) for a variety of locations. These positions will provide leadership in project management, client services and technical expertise in various specialized or generalized disciplines and will include:
  • Lead field work, supervise crews, and collect data in your area of expertise.
  • Prepare, edit and submit reports.
  • Prepare proposals as required.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, clients, professionals, First Nations and stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
  • Meet Archaeology Branch requirements for Permit Holder or Field Director
  • Able to work long hours in a variety of physically demanding field conditions
  • Highly organized with an ability to maintain accurate records
  • Effective communicator
  • Results and details oriented with excellent writing skills
  • Possess a valid driver #39;s license and safely operate snowmobiles, ATVs or UTVs as required
