This is accomplished by the application of the GN Project Management Policy and CGS Project Management Process. The Project Officer(s) will assist with multiple projects and multiple teams to meet agreed upon schedules, budgets, and stakeholder needs. The Project Officer(s) is expected to lead minor and major works projects and planning studies.The Project Officer(s) is accountable for the application of the GN Project Management Policy to the management of GN capital and O&M funded infrastructure projects to ensure that funding is spent in the most cost-effective manner to help achieve the program objectives of the business case, and to assist in the development of value through infrastructure life-cycle analysis. The Project Officer(s) is responsible for the construction management, deliverables and tasks as delegated by the capital projects team through all stages of the project implementation process.The Project Officer(s) lead and assist the capital projects team in each of the five process groups of the project life cycle; project monitor and control; project planning stage phase; project closeout phase; and other duties as assigned.The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually obtained through a Technology Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management along with five (5) years’ experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate will be considered an asset.A combination of education and experience will be considered.The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages would be considered an asset.
