Job Description

Our ever- expanding footprint provides a great prospect for career advancement as we seek to develop our emerging leaders.The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the review and processing of supplier payments and customer billing to keep accounting records up to date and accurate.Responsibilities

  • Processes accounts payable: invoice processing from suppliers for all materials consumed at the Carseland location, including yard maintenance, operational products and equipment, incoming white wood, and preservatives.
  • All accounts payable information is complied, appointed to correct GL accounts.
  • Attach invoices to cheque stub and distribute cheques to suppliers.
  • Coordinates wire transfers to be issued by head office.
  • Matching PO’s to invoices.
  • Liaises with supplier as needed.
  • Order office supplies as needed.
  • Assists the office manager with reconciliation, inquiries, etc.
  • Processes customers invoicing and sends to customers.
  • Answers and directs all incoming calls.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, monitor and check work or information.
  • Problem solving and prioritization.
  • Thoroughness.
  • Strong accounts payable knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office and BlueBee System).
  • Knowledge of SAP is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work independently and being flexible regarding work assignments.
