Job Description

Are you looking to join a collaborative team Are you passionate about working as a Maintenance and Turnaround Planner and looking for a 1-year contract to add valuable experience to your resume If your answer is yes then look no more, we are your Clear Choice.ClearStream is looking for a Maintenance and Turnaround Planner that holds a Journeyman Welding and or Journeyman Pipefitter with five years' experience in both areas and directly report to the Turnaround Manager. You will work with all levels of supervision to ensure projects, outages and shutdowns and maintenance are properly, thoroughly and safely planned and executed by developing the sequence and lead time for each operation to meet the client forecasted master schedule. The Maintenance/Turnaround Planner helps to ensure safety practices are adhered to for all maintenance work and that environmental compliance is met through using proper work practices and maintenance of equipment.Candidates local to CALGARY/CARSELAND area will be preferredWhat You Do:Plan work orders in the SAP planning backlog based on priorities set by operations coordinators. Ensure all safety concerns are addressed (life critical, energy isolation requirements, PPE, etc.)Adhere to client piping specifications and ASME codesCreate weld packages including P&ID’s, pictures, isometric drawing, line designation tables and pipe specifications when requiredCreate, edit and maintain task lists for routine and repeatable jobsResponsible for cost control of work plans and parts ordering. Look for opportunities for efficienciesResponsible for minimizing use of free text purchase requisitions utilizing material governance program to create new material numbersWork order review and releaseUpdate bill of materials as requiredWork with technical resources for effective planning of (MOC) changesWork with project engineers to support project planning and executionCommunicate regularly with strategic procurement to ensure material availability when requiredCommunicate with maintenance trades and supervisor to ensure timely feedback with respect to work plans is provided and receivedSupport outage and TA planning as directedAssist with backlog review and prioritizationRegular attendance and participation in all safety meetings and town hallsWho You Are:Strong knowledge of Turnaround/Maintenance PlanningStrong written and verbal communication skillsSuperb organizational skillsAbility to interpret, evaluate and apply regulations, policies and procedures to a wide variety of work situations.Ability to read drawings and interpret specificationsDisplays a safe and productive work ethicStrong knowledge and understanding of software specifically MS projects and/or Primavera.What You Bring:High School Diploma. Preference given to candidates with post-secondary education.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an industrial processing plant. Familiarity with ABSA regulations would be an asset.Journeyman Pipefitter or Journeyman Welder preferred.
