Join us today as we are currently hiring a Part Time Rail Yard Coordinator based in Carseland, AB.The hours for this position are Saturdays, Sundays and Statutory Holidays from 6 am – 6 pm.Core Job Functions:

  • Maintain general knowledge of the Co-op TMS system in order to ensure truck unloading racks operational
  • Overall security responsibility for the entire Carseland Terminal Operation during “off hours”. This includes completing regular prescribed security checks of the facility, Completion of applicable documentation as well regular communication procedures.
  • Comply with “Working Alone Procedures” and ensure compliance of same.
  • Complete regular driver compliance checks and necessary documentation. Provide feedback in regards to safe work practices.
  • Maintain total knowledge of the Carseland Terminal Emergency Response Manual and the applicable emergency response procedures as it applies to seaboard staff especially during terminal “off hours”. This includes initial response, reporting guidelines and communication requirements.
  • Completes general housekeeping duties as required.
  • Handle product truck offloading if necessary.
  • Handle other operational processes as needed to ensure a safe and efficient operation
  • Other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Have a solid understanding how safety is the leading factor in this industry.
  • Good PC skills with MS Office (Word & Excel), email and internet applications.
  • Ability to operate the Terminal Management System, acknowledge alarms, silence alarms etc.
  • Knowledge of equipment used in the fuel trucking industry.
  • Ability to differentiate types of valves, instrumentations, strainers, couplers, etc.
  • To have some understanding as to the relation between pressure, temperature, volume and flow.
  • Capability to identify less complex hydraulic issues and the ability to solve these issues.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

  • Oral and written English communication skills, including strong listening skills
