Job Description

QA/QC InspectorAbout Fluor DriverFluor Driver combines one of the largest global turnaround, construction, and maintenance firms (Fluor) with one of the best and safest Canadian contractor’s JV Driver, to create a unique solution to the turnaround, maintenance, and construction needs of the petrochemical industry. Our goal is to provide innovative solutions that lower construction and maintenance costs while maintaining excellence in safety and quality and thus providing a lower total cost of ownership for our clients.Job OverviewThe QA/QC Inspector will be expected to participate in the implementation of a safe, quality minded and productive execution of various work scopes in a fast paced operating plant turnaround and shop environment.Quality Responsibilities

  • Project Construction/Turnaround: ensures that all predetermined requirements (regulatory, code, owner-user, etc.) are being adhered to throughout the field installation phase
  • Provides contractor surveillance based on ITP requirements
  • Reviews and approves contractors’ ITP
  • Performs and interprets/evaluates tests and test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures
  • Participates final walkdown and witness final hydrotest
  • Reviews final turn over documents
  • Develops complete understanding of contract plans, specifications, applicable codes, and jurisdictional requirements
  • Develops a thorough knowledge of the project scope, schedule, inspection, testing, and quality documentation
  • Organizes and maintains inspection and testing documentation
  • Reviews and approves all third-party test results for compliance with project requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Control
  • CWB level 2 Visual Weld Inspection
  • Piping Experience: dimension checking, isometric reading, LDT & PID reading
  • Knowledge of materials of construction: low temperature, sour service, chrome, stainless, nickel alloys.
  • ABSA in-service inspectors, API 510, 570, etc. are all assets
  • Knowledge of ASME codes (ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, ASME Section 1, ASME B31.1 & B31.3)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
