It is privately held and has achieved high double digit annual growth and profitability since its inception.Job DescriptionReporting to the Associate Manager of English Content, the E-Commerce Team Lead supports the daily E-Commerce English team. They are responsible to ensure all production needs are met across product categories and studio locations. The ideal candidate is passionate about operational excellence, has a deep understanding of fashion and e-commerce writing and is energized by leading a team of creatives to do their best work. This role requires a highly collaborative style and the ability to influence and motivate others to drive performance results.ResponsibilitiesOperational Coordination - 50%

  • Liaise with the Associate Manager of English and Training & QA Specialist to achieve daily production targets while adhering to strict written standards
  • Collaborate closely with Copy Coordinator to ensure production and booking needs are met
  • Collaborate closely with Studio Planning & Producing, as well as Merchandising team to ensure copywriters have access to the appropriate amount and type of products at any given time
  • Oversee the copy room workflow and provide operational direction and leadership to product copywriters
  • Ensure studio stakeholders are provided with regular updates and visibility and apply action plans to handle delays that impact the content, schedule, or quality
  • Implement scalable processes, procedures, and systems to drive operational effectiveness, and operationalize studio initiatives and business strategic objectives
  • Report on performance metrics and KPIs to provide actionable corrective measures to improve the flow of operations, and production throughput
  • Manage cleanliness, supplies, and safety in the copy room
  • Collaborate with the Planning and Producing department to vet capacity and resource plans against the production forecast, identify potential capacity and capability risks and recommend contingency plans
People Leadership & Team Development - 30%
  • Support the Manager’s recruiting strategy by screening, interviewing, and onboarding new full time and freelance copywriters
  • Support the Manager with the onboarding of new team members
  • Manage daily bookings and maintain a high-caliber roster of freelancers during peak production times to supplement full-time staff
  • Develop and implement talent resource plan and work schedules to accommodate seasonal requirements
  • Support in the Performance Management process for all team members by conducting performance reviews and establish development plans
  • Provide mentorship catalyzing growth through coaching and team building
  • Ensure team mobilization by regularly gauging team spirit and implementing appropriate means to create a work environment that fosters healthy communication, collaboration, and productivity
Project implementation & Continuous Improvement - 20%
  • Contribute to the implementation of studio and business initiatives by applying operational best practices, engaging in cross-departmental collaboration with a continuous improvement approach
  • Initiate and develop actionable execution plans to optimize daily operations, productivity and communication
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance tools, standardize, and optimize procedures related to product copy services
Qualifications
  • College or Bachelor’s diploma in fashion management or a related field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fashion e-commerce environment or studio setting
  • 1-2 year experience in a leadership or management role
  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fashion media/history, and e-commerce content production
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
  • Experience with drafting, documenting, and implementing new procedures
  • Knowledge of written content creation is an asset
  • Open to working evenings and weekends as required
