Job Description

We Keep Your Helicopter Flying Safely, Whatever The Mission! Heli-One is the leader in rotor wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) with decades of expertise supporting a wide range of helicopters. Our global support network includes base maintenance; line maintenance; component and engine repair and overhaul; and Engineering and Design within our 500,000 square feet of international facilities in Vancouver, Canada; Stavanger, Norway; and Rzeszow, Poland.Heli-One has opportunities for Structures AME’s (S or ACA rated) who will be Responsible for maintenance to airworthy standards, inspecting and releasing maintenance for contracted maintenance support our Petawawa location.Responsibilities

  • Follows approved repair/modification procedures for component or aircraft, consulting internal procedures that have been TC approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points
  • Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before submitting for final release inspection; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Performs serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
  • Completes work package documentation after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and recertification of airworthiness.
  • Work shifts/weekends as required
  • Frequently operates dangerous machineries requiring safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, hearing protectors, work boots and hard hats
  • Constantly exposed to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust or dirt
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme temperature or humidity
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Valid Transport Canada AME “S” Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters
  • Minimum 3 years’ Structures experience
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to process complex systems and logically think through problems
  • Results oriented with a focus on quality
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
  • Knowledge of aviation standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions
  • Works on shop floor involving frequent lifting of materials up to 30 lbs
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in Canada
