JOB POSTING – CROSS-SITEPOSITION- LISTOWEL &WINGHAM SITEPOSITION POSTING # L22-07POSITION: Pandemic Response WorkerUNIT: COVIDSTATUS: Temporary Part-timeSTART DATE: February 2022 – March 31, 2022 (with the expectation for extension)SALARY RANGE: $17.73 per hourPOSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the LWHA Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the Pandemic Response Worker is responsible for ensuring thatpotentially infectious entrants to the Hospital are directed appropriately during an outbreak or pandemic situation, as well asother activities related to maintaining an effective pandemic response for the Hospital by following specific criteria identifiedon the decision matrix to ensure all entrants to the hospital complete the screening requirements and guide them accordinglyto the applicable area within the hospital.QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to listen, understand, and respond appropriately to a widerange of stakeholders.EFFORT: Minimal Physical Effort Average degree of mental effort and analysisPOSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Ensure all entrants to the main Hospital entrance complete the screening process. Direct entrants as appropriate, according to the outcome of the screening process. Ensure that entrants perform hand hygiene and don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if appropriate. Set up the screening desk at the beginning of the shift and close / hand off accordingly at the end of the shift.o This includes gathering appropriate materials and tools needed for the Screening desk, e.g.: portable phone,handouts, stickers, logbook, etc. Ensure that confidentiality and privacy of all entrants is preserved. Assist with other activities to ensure that the Hospital has an effective pandemic response and focus on mitigatingrisks. Perform other related activities, as necessary or as assigned.
