Job Description

Reporting to the Agro Centre Manager, the Equipment Team Advisor is responsible for maintaining and executing a customer contact program within the trading area. The Equipment Team Advisor must effectively and efficiently manage and understand business relationships, demonstrate knowledge of products and marketing programs, promote the sales of all Agro product lines, and provide consultations on Agro equipmentQualifications: Candidates must possess farm and Agro equipment experience, with a strong agricultural background and a general understanding of Agronomics science concerning horticultural and row crops. Applicants should be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and be able to set and adjust priorities and schedules.Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or related field preferred3-5 years of progressively responsible sales experience in the agriculture or animal health industry is required; Large Diameter and Permanent Handling System experience is an assetValid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract; Class 3 with a Q Endorsement is preferredMust be able to read land locations and mapsEffective leadership skills and the ability to work well within a multi-generational teamExcellent oral and written communication skillsBasic computer knowledge: experience with Microsoft Office programs (including Word and Excel) is an assetExcellent internal and external customer service skillsAbility to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesAble to work and perform in a team environmentAbility to build and maintain lasting relationships with departments, divisions, key business partners, and customersSignificant attention to detail and a high degree of accuracyMust be able to fulfill physical job requirements, including lifting or carrying 50 lbs. and working outdoors in various weather conditions
