Reporting to the Hardware Manager, the Hardware Clerk is responsible for delivering world-class customer service by providing prompt responses to customer inquiries, providing customer service at the checkout, and operating the cash register. Other duties include pricing, stocking, and facing products on shelves, answering telephones, practicing good housekeeping habits, and loading products for customers.Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service skills. Experience working in a hardware or building materials setting would be considered an asset.High School diploma or equivalent is preferredExperience working in Agro and Farming settings is an assetPhysically able to lift more than 55 lbs. on a regular basisEffective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracyAbility to adapt to new technologyHigh level of integrity and work ethicAbility to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesAbility to effectively communicate both orally and in writingHigh flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environmentPositive attitude with a willingness to learnAvailability: Monday to Saturday 7:30-5:30Internal candidates who apply by Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 5:00 pm will be given first consideration, based on seniority, ability, and fitness to perform the work satisfactorily.
