Job Description

Known as a prefinished siding system specialist, Maibec is widely recognized for its innovative knowhow and mass customization expertise across eastern North America. Maibec CanExel is a trusted prefinished siding manufacturer, located in East River, Nova Scotia. Maibec CanExel has a long history of manufacturing exterior siding that is designed to be exceptionally durable while maintaining its authentic beauty.Maibec CanExel is currently seeking a Talent Specialist to join a dynamic team located in East River, Nova Scotia. We welcome applicants for full time or part time work (min 24 hours per week).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement and manage effective strategies to grow the employer brand
  • Build and leverage external relationships with community organizations and other associations or agencies to develop talent pipelines
  • Involvement in the full recruitment process, including developing the job posting and advertising strategy, sourcing and screening candidates, conducting interviews and reference checks, selecting candidates, making employment offers, etc.
  • Leverage immigration opportunities to fill vacancies and support immigrants through their transition to moving to and living in the area
  • Organize and attend special events (internal and external)
  • Other HR duties as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
  • Dynamic and outgoing personality and excel at making cold calls and building relationships
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of various social media tools and experience in using those tools to convey brand messaging
  • Creative storyteller with a talent for content creation
  • Demonstrated involvement in the community
  • Ability to see a task through from start to finish and hold yourself accountable for deliverables while managing multiple competing demands
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, dedicated to bringing new ideas and perspectives
  • Very strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of industrial work settings considered an asset
  • Experience in event planning considered an asset
  • HR experience preferred
