Job Description

Our Service Advisors are one of the first contact points with customers who bring their vehicles in for service. They are responsible for advising customers on the necessary services, routine maintenance requirements, and repairs needed on their vehicles. They will work directly with the technicians and parts department to ensure customer satisfaction. The candidate will have the ability to build long-lasting relationships with our clientele.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Promptly meet and greet service customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Conduct vehicle walk-around to record any vehicle damage and to check for any areas that may require attention, such as lights, wipers, and tires.

• Ask the right questions to identify needed services by listening to customers descriptions of symptoms and clarifying problems.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by reviewing records and explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Scheduling and booking appointments, as well as needed pick up and deliveries.
• Sell the maintenance service due according to the schedule of the vehicle.

• Create repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required

• Provide accurate estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor and obtaining customers approval while answering all questions and concerns.
• The ability to communicate with service technicians about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed.
• Responsible for contacting customers to advise them about repairs, keeping them updated, and answering questions about service outcomes.

• Ensuring exceptional customer service by building a positive connection with our clients.

Your Capabilities / Qualifications

• At least three years of customer service experience
• Previous experience in an Automotive Service Advisor role is considered an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills: a good listener who can cultivate relationships
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-driven environment
• Good organization and learning skills
• Valid drivers license with acceptable drivers abstract
• Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Critical analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage numerous calendars and projects.
• Hardworking, self-motivated approach with excellent time management skills.

• They should be capable of working independently and managing their time and workflow.
• Ability to communicate information accurately, clearly, and as intended.
• Enthusiastic personality, neat and professional in appearance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working in a dealership, preferably with service, is an asset
• Proficiency in basic computer programs
