The division is guided by principles of trust, collaboration, and commitment.The Financial Analyst provides financial analyst services to the Seniors Supplement Program and is responsible for performing a quality assurance role on seniors supplement cases to ensure their accuracy and supportability and the establishment, allocation and/ or adjustment of benefits payable to eligible seniors.Job Requirements:• Secondary school graduation or equivalent. • Formal financial management course work, or equivalent. • Minimum of one (1) year of experience (within the last 3 years) coordinating the assembly of financial data for budget preparation. • Minimum of one (1) year of experience (within the last 3 years) interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and/or policies. • Minimum of one (1) year of experience (within the last 3 years) developing financial statements and reports. • Minimum of one (1) year experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, OneNote, Outlook, etc.Preference may be given to applicants with the following: • Preferences will be given to applicants with experience with the Ministry Integrated Case Management (ICM) system.For questions regarding this position, please contact Grace.Lin@gov.bc.ca .About this Position: Amendment January 25, 2024: Posting closing date extended to February 9, 2024.
