  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field.
  • Minimum three years of related experience (or an acceptable combination of education and experience).
  • Registered (or immediately eligible*) as a Registered Professional Biologist (RP Bio) in B.C. with the College of Applied Biology within six months of employment.
  • Experience assessing and monitoring natural resources.
  • Note: immediately eligible for registration is defined as being able to transfer a current membership from an applicable jurisdiction. Applicants must confirm their eligibility with the CAB. Confirmation of registration/eligibility will be required before an offer of employment can be made.
Related Experience includes a combination of the following:
  • Experience providing scientific and regulatory advice regarding biological impacts as a result of resource development.
  • Experience assessing and monitoring natural resources.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting on natural resource data.
  • Experience in leading the exchange of scientific information with external and internal stakeholder groups
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • Experience leading staff in project or field settings.
  • Advanced scientific knowledge of a specialty area.
  • Experience interpreting and applying natural resource management legislation and policy.
  • Experience working with Global Information System tools.
  • Experience working and collaborating with First Nations
