The health and safety of our employees, our commitment to responsible environmental stewardship, ethical dealings with our business partners, and contributing to the economic and social fabric of the communities in which we operate define the essence of who we are.While our focus is meeting the needs of our customers, our success is driven by our people.The Opportunity – Human Resources ManagerReporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive on-site human resources management within their designated operation(s), and contributing to the overall Human Resources strategies and objectives of the Sinclar Group.We operate companies that produce lumber, homes, engineered wood products and wood pellets. We also run bioenergy systems that sustainably convert our residual wood into energy, powering our communities.Our operations are located in three communities; Fort St. James, Prince George and Vanderhoof. The Human Resources Manager will be based in one of these communities. In addition to providing Human Resources Management at more than one operation, they will have HR colleagues reporting to them within their role.The ideal candidate will have the following work experience: a minimum of 7 years of generalist Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years at a management level; including experience in a similar environment, which will be industrial, manufacturing or operational in nature; 2 years of Labour Relations experience, working within a unionized environment and previous experience coaching, developing and leading employees.They will have additional qualifications including post-secondary education, preferably an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and will hold a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
