Job Description

Your OpportunityThe primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Walk, hike, or bike the many trails at Conservation Halton on a flexible schedule
  • Learn about the unique and varied species of flora & fauna within Conservation Halton parks
  • Interact with the public in an informative, educational, and positive manner
  • Assist visitors with orientation, directions, trail conditions and potential hazards
  • Identify and communicate any hazards or potential hazards to the appropriate park staff
  • Work in accordance with Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals such as Covid-19 PPE protocols.

  • Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
  • A positive attitude and effective communication skills, combined with the ability and willingness to interact with our visitors in a positive, professional manner
  • Affinity for the outdoors, and able to adapt to a variety of weather conditions
  • Familiarity with Conservation Halton’s parks and trail systems is an asset
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSS), to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted (if over 18 years old)
