Internal/External Job PostingPOSITION: Concession AttendantSALARY: $15.20 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $17.33 per hour (Jan.1.2020 rates)CLASSIFICATION: JB02, Concession WorkerHOURS OF WORK: 4-20 hours per week – primarily evenings and weekends (game nights)STATUS: AuxiliaryCLOSING DATE: Open until filledCOMPETITION #: 21-44SUMMARY: West Shore Parks & Recreation is seeking energetic and outgoing Concession Attendants to workin The Q Centre Arena concession providing amazing customer service; order taking and ensuring surroundingareas are spiffy clean, while doing basic food preparation and kitchen services. In addition to being a part of awonderful team, this person will also be eligible for a free membership pass to WSPRS while activelyemployed.SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as work independently.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Successful completion of Food Safe course.
  • Experience in food preparation, safe handling of food, cleanliness, and kitchen safety is an asset.
  • Experience with industrial kitchen equipment an asset.
  • Experience in positive public relations.
  • Experience with cash handling.
  • Concession experience is an asset.
  • Serving it Right certificate an asset.
