Internal/External Job PostingWest Shore Parks & Recreation Society (WSPRS) is looking for dedicated, passionate, and energetic staffmember to join our team as our Food Services Team Leader. Hours may be adjusted based on the game schedule andadditional events booked.STATUS: AuxiliaryCLOSING DATE: Open until filledCOMPETITION #: 21-38JOB DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides some guidance and work direction to the concession workers and bartenders.
  • May assist in the scheduling of team and other paperwork duties.
  • Stock concession areas, write ordering lists and provide inventory controls.
  • Prepare and sell concession food.
  • Clean up as required.
  • Balance daily cash, prepare floats and coin orders.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assist in each role when necessary.
  • Provides coverage in events or games.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Must be present for all game nights.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Highschool diploma and Food Safe Certificate with culinary/food preparation experience.
  • Serving It Right certification.
  • Knowledge and ability to plan, prepare and organize and set up complete food and beverage
operations.
  • Experience using a point of sale system; and Microsoft office – email, word, excel.
  • Working knowledge to use cash registers and food equipment.
  • Ability to provide direction in the preparation, provision and delivery of food and beverage services.
  • Ability to provide leadership and to work in and promote a team approach and environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Hospitality management certificate an asset.
  • Hotel banquet experience an asset.
