Overview:Agnico Eagle, Hope Bay are looking to hire a Core Logger to be a part of the Mining Geology Department and is responsible for adding to the geoscientific understanding of the Hope Bay ore deposits.This role will report to the Senior Production Geologist. This position is located at the Hope Bay Project site in Nunavut, Canada and will require regular rotational travel to and from the site (3 weeks in / 3 weeks out).Responsibilities:Responsible for logging production, definition, and exploration core from underground and surface drills;Duties may include moving and teching own core;Duties may include whole core sampling of production core;May be required to assist in importing collar, survey, and assay data;General administrative duties as required, such as preparing drill tracking spreadsheets;Informs, involves, and engages key internal and external stakeholders appropriately; develops and maintains positive relationships and represents Agnico Eagle, Hope Bay positively in the community;Demonstrates awareness and commitment to health, community and environmental protection and takes action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviors do not occur;Other such duties as may be assigned.Qualifications:B.Sc. degree in Geology or equivalent;Minimum of 1 year industry experience;Works well under pressure with the ability to balance and prioritize time sensitive priorities.Team oriented and results focused;Strong organization and time management skills;High degree of motivation and initiative;Must be willing to work on a rotational basis in northern Canada in a camp environment. Artic experience is an asset;Hands-on, self-sufficient and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude;Experience working in a multicultural environment;Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).Selected candidates must attain a passing mark on a Speexx English language assessment.Quick Apply
