Like so many of our customers, our team in Juniper, NB is growing, and we are seeking General Labourers to join our team.Juniper Organics is looking for individuals who would like to join a growing group of team players with can-do attitudes. We have opportunities available for plant work, bog work, day shift, night shift, and seasonal employment.Positions Employed at Juniper Organics:Heavy Equipment Operators, Bog

• Harvesting Tractors and Loaders

The Heavy Equipment Operator, Harvesting Tractor will report to the lead hand of the bog. This position will be responsible for harvesting the peat moss at the peat bog using a tractor with a vacuum harvester attached. This position is seasonal and weather dependent. Peat moss must be harvested during dry conditions therefore it is expected that successful candidates will be available to work on-call including evenings and weekends to accommodate changing weather patterns.The Heavy Equipment Operator, Loader Operator will report to the lead hand of the bog. This position is seasonal will be responsible for the handling of the raw peat moss at the bog during the late spring to early fall months. The Loader Operator will work closely with the Bog Harvesting Tractor Operators and Quality Control Technician to ensure quality metrics are being met.Mobile and Heavy Equipment Operators, Plant

• Forklifts and Loaders

The Mobile Equipment Operator, Forklift Operator will report to the shift leader at the plant. This position will be responsible for loading trucks with finished products, piling finished products in the yard, and moving finished products from the production line to the yard. In addition to forklift operations, the Forklift Operator will be expected to assist the site with regular clean-up including manual labour.The Heavy Equipment Operator, Loader Operator will report to the shift leader at the plant. This position will be responsible for the handling of the raw peat moss at the plant including operation of the screening system. The Loader Operator will work closely with the Quality Control Technician to ensure quality metrics are being met. In addition to loader operations, the Loader Operator will be expected to assist the site with regular clean-up including manual labour and snow removal.Line OperatorsThe Line Operator will report directly to the shift leader at the plant. This position will be responsible for running the production lines by operating HMI screens and troubleshooting problems as they occur. This position will work closely with the Quality Control Technician to ensure the quality metrics are being met and adjustments are being made when necessary. The Line Operator will be trained to operate 3 separate production lines that run at different times. This position will include manual labour, including lifting heavy product if it upsets.General LabourersThe General Labourer will report to the shift leader of the plant. This position will be responsible for performing various tasks on site to aid daily operations. These tasks include cleaning and maintaining the production floor, assisting with yard maintenance, operating one of the lines, and carrying out responsibilities set by the shift lead hand. This position will offer the ability to cross-train and provide vacation and absence relief on production lines.Quality Assurance TechniciansThe Quality Assurance Technician will provide leadership and assistance in process management and product quality assurance through testing of products from raw materials through to shipment of finished goods. The peat moss is piled in bulk at the plant and requires consistent testing to ensure the piles do not overheat. This is both a quality and safety precaution. In addition to Quality Control, the Quality Control Technician will assist the site with daily operations and labour support if needed.Lead HandsThe Lead Hand will report directly to the Site Manager and be responsible for monitoring and directing the workforce to safely accomplish set tasks and production targets. In addition to Lead Hand responsibilities, this position will be required to train on line operations and quality assurance metrics.
