Job Description

York Region Respite Care provides a great service to clients and their families, our team provides a professional and dependable service that we take great pride in.Our mission is to help clients stay in their homes and make them feel cared for.We provide Our clients with:

  • Assisting with actives of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping and life skills.
  • Provide premium care approach to clients and their families.
  • Light household duties such as cleaning, laundry and washing dishes.
  • Mobility and transfers.
  • Reports and charting in clients behaviour and conditions.
  • Follow the Care planes provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires good judgement, problem solving and assessment abilities.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize safety issues and follow safe work practice.
Qualifications:
  • PSW, SSW, DSW certificate from approved and recognized education institution.
  • Ability to travel between assignments by car.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Flexible to work days, evenings and weekends.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certificate.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check done within the last 6 months.
