Buckhorn and Main Mountain Eatery – Line CookResorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill part time and full time positions of Line Cook, at Buckhorn and Main Mountain Eatery. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player and may have previous kitchen experience. We focus on building and maintaining long lasting relationships with our staff and guests and encourage you to come, “Experience the Ultimate” and be a part of our team at Kimberley Alpine Resort.You will:Cook of all types of full menu and banquet menus.Follow standard recipe and portion control instructions given by Kitchen Management.Assist to receive and organize grocery orders and follow systems to support stock management.Clean equipment.Deep clean kitchen, storage areas, etc.Maintain Cleanliness of kitchen to meet or exceed Provincial Health Standards.Be responsible for opening procedures. Before any grill is turned on, the exhaust system must be turned on. Unlock all coolers. Check temperature of refrigerator units (report immediately to supervisor any breakdowns, problems etc.). Prepare for daily operation.Be required to aid in the check of inventory and needs that may develop throughout the shift and in turn, pass the needs on to the Manager or Supervisor.From time to time be required to perform other duties or tasks at the request of the Ski area Management.Be responsible for closing procedures. Check to make sure all equipment and lights, etc. are turned off. Lock all storage areas and walk in cookers etc. Turn off exhaust system.Record hours worked on time sheet at end of each shift.Check and know shift schedule: all requests for shift changes must be approved by supervisor.Activate alarm system, if required.Adhere to RCR policies, procedures and Safety Management ProgramQualificationsExperienced or willing to learn in all aspects of cooking.Banquet and kitchen experience an asset.Knowledge of health, sanitary, and fire regulations.
