As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!Job SummaryConcrete BatchmanLNG Project - Kitimat, BCKentron Construction, part of the Terus Construction Ltd. group, is seeking a Concrete Batchman. Terus Construction Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.This is a full-time project-based position from mid-April to end of September 2021, with possibility of extension. Preference given to locals and those willing to relocate. Relocation support may be provided.Job Summary: Responsible for daily material functions at the plant. Control ready-mix concrete production according to specifications.Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all deliveries are on time and in spec.
  • Schedules all orders as such to maximize productivity and manpower while keeping overtime to a minimum.
  • Responsible for maintaining raw material inventory for ongoing orders.
  • Communicate start and finish times with employees.
  • Ensure all orders have payment secured or know of their current account status.
  • Maintain communication with drivers during placements to ensure proper scheduling and quality can be achieved.
  • Communicate with concrete Supervisor, all safety infractions and any complaints as they arise.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Concrete Supervisor.
  • Weekly Inspections to the concrete plant and maintenance as required.
  • Making sure that all running equipment is maintained neat and tidy and also routinely inspected including the inside of the concrete truck drums.
Employment requirements:
  • High school diploma or a GED
  • Class 5 Driver’s license
  • Knowledge of concrete and construction material and material production processes preferred
