Job Description

Overview:CDN Controls Ltd. is a fully integrated provider of instrumentation, electrical, automation, communication, combustion and emissions, and meter proving services throughout Western Canada. CDN Controls has been providing the oil and gas industry with the high-quality services needed for business operations since 2010. At CDN Controls, we understand that our employees are the biggest asset in our success, and we take great pride in selecting employees who are team orientated, driven and eager to succeed.Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our Maintenance team, based out of our Kitimat office. This role is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm and the starting hourly rate range is $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr.Responsibilities:As our Fire Extinguisher you will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting, repairing, and testing fire extinguishers systems using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment, and monitoring devices.
  • Dismantling and examining extinguisher parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means.
  • Replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Hydro-testing High & Low-pressure cylinders.
  • Cleaning and recharging extinguishers with approved materials.
Qualifications:Qualifications required:
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract.
  • Ability to produce concise, accurate work orders and inspection documentation.
  • Self-motivated individual able to excel in a fast pace environment.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs.
